DigiPen Joint Concert, December 2023
Level Up! Vocal Ensemble is committed to the well-being of our members. We maintain the following protocols for the health of our community. If you have any questions, you may Contact Us via this website for further clarification and guidance. (Last updated January 2026.)
L! Health & Safety Protocols
Masking
KN-95 or N-95 masks are required at rehearsals, performances, and all other LU!VE events (unless otherwise noted). We have also approved this specific singer's mask for the ensemble. No other cloth masks or surgical masks are approved for use. Masks must fully cover your mouth and nose the entire time they are required to be worn.
COVID-19 Vaccination
Proof of the 2025-2026 COVID-19 vaccination is required to participate in the ensemble. Members must show a card, receipt, or digital verification from a healthcare provider or pharmacy at the first rehearsal they attend. (To be considered currently vaccinated, your most recent COVID-19 immunization date must be in or after September 2025.) We strongly encourage members to get the flu vaccine annually as well.
Illness and Exposure
All members must be free of symptoms of flu, cold, COVID-19, or other communicable illness (including fever, atypical congestion, cough, chills or aches, stomach flu, or food poisoning) in order to attend any rehearsal, performance, or LU!VE events in-person.
If you or a household member have symptoms of illness, you must stay home and attend virtually (if you are able). You and/or your household member must be symptom-free and in normal health for seven (7) days before you may rejoin in-person ensemble activities.
If you test positive for COVID-19 you must let a board member or your section leader know immediately via email or Discord message. If you find out you were exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19 and potentially exposed the ensemble at a rehearsal or event, you must also report that exposure to a board member or your section leaders. We will report anonymous exposure to the choir to keep everyone informed of their health risks. In the event of COVID-19 exposure, you must stay home for seven (7) days. If you are not experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or other illness after that time, you may rejoin in-person ensemble activities.
If you are unsure if your illness or exposure requires you to stay at home, you must contact a member of the board to discuss your specific situation. Please do not attend rehearsals or events in-person while you are feeling ill!
At certain times or instances, Level Up! may require all members to take a rapid COVID-19 test and test negative to minimize further exposure. If testing supplies are not accessible for you, your section leader will provide support and resources.
Rehearsal Space
The rehearsal space is equipped with a HEPA air purifier. Windows will be open at all times during rehearsal no matter the temperature - check the weather and dress accordingly that day! Please see our additional Rehearsal Etiquette Guidelines.
No Food & Drink At Rehearsal
You may bring a water bottle and drink it during rehearsal, but you may only lift your mask quickly and replace it immediately after drinking. (We strongly encourage spill-proof water bottles!) No food or beverages besides a sealed water bottle are allowed in the rehearsal space. Please inform us via email or Discord message if you require an accommodation to this policy due to a medical condition.
